📚 Readers compete with each other to share their reading choices. The idea has thus spread that books can become travellers, by being left in a public place where a new reader can discover them. Anyone can drop off a book or pick one up in a book box, which they can then keep or put back into circulation.
The book boxes are at the crossroads between the principles of short circuits, anti-garbage, sharing and access to culture. That's why the municipality has decided to set up several book boxes in various high-traffic areas of the municipality. Passers-by will be able to take a few moments to look at the latest arrivals or share their reading.
This new off-site public reading network will be managed by the team at the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry municipal toy and multimedia library, with the participation of the Neuilly Emmaüs Avenir association.
