Three flowers sowing seeds
Nature is present in Neuilly-sur-Marne in all its forms, and the Villes et Villages Fleuris (Towns and Villages in Bloom) label has enabled the municipality to pick up its three flowers in just ten years. This label has provided additional motivation for staff, technicians and elected representatives to maintain the flower beds and extend the planting of trees, shrubs, perennials and bulbs. In 2023, Neuilly-sur-Marne was once again awarded the national Villes et Villages fleuris (Towns and Villages in Bloom) label in recognition of its commitment to improving the quality of life, giving pride of place to plants in the design of public spaces and developing the town's tourist, economic, residential and shopping appeal.
We love our green heritage
Committed to providing the people of Nocé with an ever more pleasant living environment, the Town Council is very attached to its Ville Fleurie (Flower City) label and its three flowers. Over the last three years, our teams have planted 19,000 perennials, 15,000 shrubs and 16,600 trees in the parks and squares, of course, but also at the campsite, the riding school and along the roadsides. The jury was impressed by the warm welcome they received, in the presence ofa team committed to constantly improving the community's living environment. The next step is to reach the next level and be able to display the four flowers on the signs at the entrance to the town.
In view of the poetry and the quest for a sophisticated and unique aesthetic in your municipality, the members of the jury decided to award Neuilly-sur-Marne the special Jury's Favourite prize, in addition to maintaining the level of the Three Flowers label.

A flower-filled town with lots of greenery
The presence of greenery throughout the year and the development of landscaped areas, in harmony with the town's heritage and identity, help to enhance the quality of life. The Villes et Villages Fleuris (Flowering Towns and Villages) label does not just judge flowering. - as its name might suggest - but pays just as much attention to the heritage of trees, to differentiated management and to the upkeep of public spaces. With its three flowers, Neuilly-sur-Marne is continuing its commitment to enhancing the local environment, as demonstrated by the construction of the green theatre in the 33-hectare park, the planting of the municipal cemetery and the renaturation of Place Stalingrad.
Neuilly committed to the ecological transition
Protecting fauna, flora and natural resources is a priority for the municipality. The increasing intensity of periods of drought has prompted the technical services to change their approach to the management of green spaces. Neuilly-sur-Marne is facing up to climate change and making an active commitment to the future through careful water management, reasoned mowing, careful plant selection and waste recycling. The creation of oasis courtyards in schools, the planting of appropriate species with leisure centres and the provision of shared gardens have made it possible to involve young and old Nocéens in the heart of the projects and in preserving the environment.
