Saint-Baudile Menagerie

Formerly known as a mini-farm or educational farm, the Saint-Baudile menagerie, nestling in the heart of the 33-hectare park, allows young city dwellers to discover farm animals. Recently, the original structure housing the farmyard animals (ducks, geese, rabbits, etc.) has been renovated and extended by two large enclosures where goats, cows, sheep and horses frolic.

Two aviaries are also home to a wide variety of birds, including white and blue peacocks and pheasants, as well as ancient species of pigeon and hens such as the silk hen, known in China since the 10th century.th century, or the Pompadour, a breed bred in the Roman Empire.

By becoming a menagerie, the educational farm has taken on a new mission, that of conserving and promoting little-known animal species. This is the case for the historic breeds of pigeon, which will be able to reproduce in aviaries and will then be reintroduced into the park.

Come and discover all this diversity and have a great time with the whole family!
